Soo I have this drawer where I keep all the products I use and some junk I don't; my junk drawer.
Yesterday I opened it, trying to find something I remembered I had and hadn't seen in awhile.
I ended up not finding it, and quite frankly, I don't even remember what it is that was looking for because I ran into something more interesting in that drawer.
A couple years ago (I think), I went to Kanye West's Glow In The Dark concert when he came to the Pepsi Center in Denver.
The tour consisted of Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D, Rihanna, and Kanye, of course.
It was a good time. It ended up being an amazing concert and even though I really only went to see Lupe Fiasco, the whole thing was one of the best concerts I have ever been to.
(and I've been to a LOT! haha)
I had taken one of my friends with me.
When the concert was over, they were handing out these free little books;



We were happy we at least got that because we didn't have money to really buy anything else.
(everything was so expensive there and those tickets made me broke!)
I went home, but didn't really pay much attention to the book.
A few months later I found it in the same drawer I found it in yesterday and actually started reading it. I LOVED it!
I suppose I put it back in the drawer and found it again lol.
Its a little strange because whenever i find it again and read it, theres always something I'm going through at that time, wether it be big or small, and something I read in this book helps me somehow.

To most people, the saying "to use someone" carries a negative connotation, but I dont see it that way. To "mis", "over", or "ab" use someone is negative. To use is necessary and if you cant be used...then you're useless!

Sooo I'm a little late posting these, I just seen them today. The first video is of Rihanna's new song called Russian Roulette, which was produced by Ne-Yo. (round of applause)

The 2nd video is a promotional commercial for Rihanna's new album which features a song called The Wait Is Ova.

Personally, I cant wait til the album comes out. I'll be countin down.

My Sister's Keeper X Cancer Awareness Month

Soo I just got done watching My Sister's Keeper and I must say...it was pretty good. My mom and I just got done drying our eyes lol.
Yes, I got teary eyed cuz I'm a baby like that lol.
I'm a sensative person at times.
I will say that you shouldn't watch it if you like happy endings.....
Hope I didn't give too much away.

Anyway..as most of you should know by now, this month is cancer awareness month.
I dont know why I didnt think to post this sooner, but the website for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is ww5.komen.org. If you don't know what the Race for the Cure is, its a non profit organization that raises money, by organizing races, to find the cure for breast cancer. A lot of the races have already passed so I hope some of you still have time to register and run in it by the time you read this. I did it this year but unfortunately I didnt take pictures. Click on Get Involved to look up your city.

Have u ever felt like ur soo happy to be rid of someone? That's how I feel right now. It's almost like that one person was just holding me back and bringing me down. Now we haven't been together now for about 2 months I think and I rarely think about him or the situation we had before, but I got ta thinking about it last night and it made me feel good. I actually woke up feeling the exact same way and as a matter if fact..refreshed. I'm lucky that I'm so smart and can analyze people and figure them out. A few weeks ago u called me a heartless bitch and today u love me? C'mon now.

But I do wanna say thank u. To all the people that have done me wrong in my life. Thank u for all the stress. Because if all that I went through, I'm a better person, I'm a stronger person.

Well I took these pictures this past summer..some place in Colorado. (Where I reside). I'm not very sure what the city is called so I cant say exactly. I live nowhere near this church and I know that we drove hours to where ever this place was. Somewhere near the mountains?

Anyway, I remember this day fairly well. If you know me, you know I have a bad memory so the fact that I would even remember anything would be surprising lol.
The reason for being here was for an anniversary celebration inside the church. It was for my stepfather's aunt and uncle.
Can you believe they were celebrating their 50th anniversary?
When you think of what the divorce rate is in America, you kind of cringe?!
No wonder why people in other countries dont like us or think Americans are stupid.
I remember thinking to myself at that party that i hope i have a marraige like that.
I still want to be madly in love with someone when I'm old.
I would still want someone to look at me like I'm the most beautiful thing.
I think thats what everyone wants.

My parents were never married and my mom left my dad when I was two. I was too young to know what was really going on. All I was really concerned about was getting two christmas' and thanksgiving dinners lol. Shortly after that my mom met my now stepdad so I actually did get to see a working healthy relationship growning up.
I got lucky I guess.
My biological father was still in my life until I was about 15.
At that point I realized what kinda person he really was to my mother.
I'm thankful that she let me make my own decision about it and let me see for myself instead of taking me away so young and then maybe wonder later where my daddy is.
Some people cant stand who they're with and need to get a divorce or seperate and thats what you should do. You should do what makes you happy no matter what.
Anyway...getting off topic..
Its just nice to see a relationship thats been working for so many years.

It was such a beautiful day that day so of course i had to snap some pics.

The first two are of the church of course and the last is of a house right next to it. Not sure if it was someones house or maybe they used it for the church? I'm not very sure.
But I had to take a picture of it.

This morning, Michelle and I awoke to some surprising and humbling news. At 6 a.m., we received word that I'd been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.

To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize -- men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.

But I also know that throughout history the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it's also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes.

That is why I've said that I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations and all peoples to confront the common challenges of the 21st century. These challenges won't all be met during my presidency, or even my lifetime. But I know these challenges can be met so long as it's recognized that they will not be met by one person or one nation alone.

This award -- and the call to action that comes with it -- does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace. And most of all, it belongs to you, the men and women of America, who have dared to hope and have worked so hard to make our world a little better.

So today we humbly recommit to the important work that we've begun together. I'm grateful that you've stood with me thus far, and I'm honored to continue our vital work in the years to come.

Solange Exclusive Photoshoot X Interview

This is my second post and what better to talk about than Solange Knowles? Of course shes been in the media a lot because if her hair cut. My personal opinion is that I actually like it. I like it looks good on her and suits her well. In her first interview on the topic, which was with Oprah, she says she felt she needed to do it because she felt like a slave to her hair. Actually it makes me want to cut my hair lol (but i wont) haha.

Solange has recently done an exclusive photoshoot and interview with Honey Mag where she talks about motherhood, her hair, dating rumors, and her upcoming album.

“The negative reaction to my hair is just junior high for me all over again. I don’t care, and I don’t think I ever will,” says Solange.
